I can’t recommend these highly enough! These are incredibly versatile and absolutely perfect for small spaces such as a balcony. They can even be moved from spot to spot via the support stakes which can double as carry handles.
I’m using the one in the photo as a strawberry bed.
Comes flat, and dimensions when filled are 200 × 200 × 1000 mm. 40 litre capacity.
Made from laminated woven polypropylene and double-stitched with nylon for strength and durability. Both the bag and stitching have been UV-treated for even more longevity.
Stakes are inserted into the slots at top and bottom to provide support and minimise bowing out at the sides.
Hardwood stakes are commonly used — 17 mm × 1.5 m tomato stakes are perfect — but because I have a gazillion bamboo stakes I double or triple those in the slots instead. (You may see these in the photos.) These seem strong enough though won’t be as durable or as long-lasting as hardwood stakes.
Stakes are not included if posting, but for anyone picking up I am happy to include 12 bamboo stakes per bag if you wish to give them a go.
A larger 90 litre 300 × 300 × 1000 mm bag is available here.
Combos of the two sizes available here.
Please note that up to 8 bags can be sent for the same price anywhere in Australia — please get in touch for a quote for higher numbers.
Local pick-up is welcome — we’re in Gwynneville, near Wollongong University.
Pick-up is by mutual arrangement please, as we don’t have a shopfront.
Having said that, we are always here and more often than not can easily fit in with whichever day and time suits you best!
Feel free to suggest preferred pick-up time(s) in the comments box during checkout and we’ll reply as soon as we see the notification.
Especial Note Regarding Large Air-Pot® Orders
Depending on the order, we may suggest that large Air-Pot® orders are best sent directly to you from the warehouse.
Especial Note Regarding Jujube Trees
When posting out bare-rooted jujube trees, we routinely trim them to fit the box and keep postage costs to a minimum. These trees are typically knee-high when planted out, though some may be smaller.
This of course doesn’t apply for pick-ups, and in fact we will set aside the tallest trees specifically for this purpose. These trees can often be hip-high, and sometimes taller again.
Please note that this is not a guarantee, as heights of different cultivars can differ from year to year.
