These are all pups from the mother plant here, and currently potted in my homemade mix.
Though theese are currently potted , I would send these pups loose or bare-rooted if this saves space and postage, especially if ordered with other items.
If I can include the pot without affecting postage then I shall do so.

All pots were used previously, but are otherwise in good condition. The different pots shown reflect the size and shape of the roots more than the size of the pup. If you have a preference please indicate in the comments during checkout, otherwise I shall send in order of size, from biggest to smallest.

In order of photo, from sixth photo on:
The dimensions of the first round black pot are 100 mm diameter × 95 mm deep.
The dimensions of the second round black pot are 90 mm diameter × 85 mm deep.
The dimensions of the third round black pot are 100 mm diameter × 77 mm deep.
The dimensions of the white pot are 50 mm diameter × 60 mm deep.
The dimensions of the 50 mm square squat propagation tube are 50 mm square × 75 mm deep.

Plant Description:
This is the ‘Quadricolor’ cultivar of Agave univittata, a small, slow-growing agave native to southern Texas and north-eastern Mexico coastal regions.

All agaves are monocarpic, meaning they flower once and then die. However, they are also known as ‘century plants’ as this can take decades to occur! Until this happens, each plant will produce many ‘pups’ via suckering roots, which can be separated and grown separately at any time.

Growing Information:

Agave univittata ‘Quadricolor’ is a tough and hardy species which doesn’t require much care other than some occassional fertilising. Over-watering may lead to root-rot — allow them to thrive on neglect!
Newly developed ‘pups’ can be left in place to produce a clumping arrangement or removed at any time to start a new mother plant elsewhere.

Growth will top out at about 65 cm tall and wide, but this will take many years.

PLEASE NOTE that the leaf marginal spines and terminal tips are long and extremely sharp. Keep away from pets, children and eye-level in general.

Local pick-up is welcome — we’re in Gwynneville, near Wollongong University.
Pick-up is by mutual arrangement please, as we don’t have a shopfront.

Having said that, we are always here and more often than not can easily fit in with whichever day and time suits you best!
Feel free to suggest preferred pick-up time(s) in the comments box during checkout and we’ll reply as soon as we see the notification.

Especial Note Regarding Large Air-Pot® Orders
Depending on the order, we may suggest that large Air-Pot® orders are best sent directly to you from the warehouse.

Especial Note Regarding Jujube Trees
When posting out bare-rooted jujube trees, we routinely trim them to fit the box and keep postage costs to a minimum. These trees are typically knee-high when planted out, though some may be smaller.

This of course doesn’t apply for pick-ups, and in fact we will set aside the tallest trees specifically for this purpose. These trees can often be hip-high, and sometimes taller again.
Please note that this is not a guarantee, as heights of different cultivars can differ from year to year.
