Item Description:
The dimensions of the bottomless pot are 90 mm square × 150 mm deep — I love these pots as the square shape and bottomless design produces beautifully straight and deep roots with no spiralling whatsoever. (I sell these brand-new if interested.)

I reuse and recycle pots whenever possible, and the pots the plants come in may show signs of this, but are otherwise in great condition.

Plant Description:
This is a quirky-looking plant native to the Solomon Islands and New Guinea, that no photo can do justice — its stems and leaves are flat like ribbons and jointed like centipedes or tapeworms! (Hence the names.) Tiny red ball-like flowers dot each leaf’s perimeter in an intriguing manner, but are otherwise not showy.

This plant will reach 2 m tall and wide if you let it, and is best kept heavily pruned back to control it as it will grow in an untidy haphazard way otherwise.

This is very much a plant for any collector of rare, exotic or truly unusual species.

Growing Information:
Centipede plant needs no especial care, but prefers moist soil in part-shade to full sun. It will tolerate and even thrive in mild winters, but will struggle and likely die below freezing temperatures.
