This is a clump of plants in one pot, and the exact item as in the photos.

Dimensions of the pot are 200 mm diameter × 190 mm high. The plants are about 120 mm high.

Plant Description:
Salad burnet is an amazingly tasty herb — it literally tastes of cucumber, and because it is perennial, gives you access to your own home-grown ‘cucumber’ all year round.

Use it in salads, on sandwiches, in wraps, chopped finely and mixed through cream cheese or a herb butter — your imagination and desire for a cucumber taste is the limit here! You can even steep it in white vinegar (with or without other herbs) to make a flavoured vinegar for salad dressings.

This is a somewhat obscure plant, so have a bit of fun asking a friend to taste it and see their look of surprise as they notice the cucumber taste! Pick the youngest leaves, as older ones can have a slight bitter aftertaste. New leaves will readily grow back.

Growing Information:
Salad burnet is an easy-care plant which prefers full sun but which can tolerate a slightly-shaded spot, and is adaptable to a wide range of well-drained soils.

Regular fertilising will maintain this perennial edible herb at peak nutritional value.

As it is a clumping perennial, division every year or two can also help restore freshness and vitality.
